| Meet Our Team |John Martini, PresidentJohn Martini is an Annapolis native who was introduced to the boating business as a young boy when his father bought a marina in 1971. As soon as he was old enough to work he began painting boat bottoms, eventually filling every boat related position from parts to service to sales. A 25-year marine industry veteran, John worked with Shady Oaks Yacht Sales and Annapolis Yacht Company before launching his own brokerage. John also manages Staten Island Yachts of Maryland, exclusive regional dealer for the exquisite line of Marquis yachts.
David Sargus, Senior BrokerDavid Sargus brings over 40 years of yachting business experience and expertise to Martini Yacht Sales. His passion now is to guide his clients through the intricacies involved in finding the right yacht and most importantly, finding the right yacht at the right price. David is a 20-year clothing retailer; at aged 21 he owned and operated a high-end menswear clothing operation based in Wheeling, West Virginia and Washington, Pennsylvania. Later in life David found himself a multiple franchise 20-year automobile dealer. Through his hectic schedule he always made it a point to spend many weekends coming to the Bay to cruise the waters of the Chesapeake or to fly off to Long Boat Key, Florida to cruise and fish the Caribbean islands aboard his custom Bertram 46 sport fish. David's love for the water began at a very young age on small runabouts in Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland. When there's time, David also enjoys horses and skiing. Walter McArdleWalter McArdle was born in our nation’s capital and raised in the nearby suburbs of Maryland. He is one of 8 children and spent every summer at the family cottage on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Boating quickly became second nature to him as he worked his way up from an 8 ft pram to a series of boats that culminated in large cruisers. During his teen years Walter crewed and served as mate on a number of charter boats, eventually attending the University of Maryland. His first post college job was with IBM where he learned the fundamentals of sales and marketing. During that time Walter was honored as the Salesman of the Year for the Eastern United States by the Sales and Marketing Club International. After 13 years in the Office Furniture and Supply business Walter was asked to join the sales team at a dealership that consistently posted record sales for Silverton, Carver and Tiara Yachts. Walter was quickly honored as the number one salesman in the country for both Silverton and Carver. After a 32 year association with that company, the firm was sold and it was time to move on. Walter currently lives in Annapolis Maryland with his wife Bonnie and can often be seen cruising and fishing the Bay with his kids and grandkids. He now serves as the lead salesman for Marquis Yachts at our Stevensville, MD office.
Todd Wittman, BrokerTodd Wittman has been selling boats on the Chesapeake Bay for the last eight years. He has represented Cruisers, Carver, Silverton, Sunseeker, and Luhrs, as well as used and brokerage yachts. Growing up on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, his first job was in the marine industry at age 14 working at The Maritime Museum and commuting to work by boat. Prior to his positions selling boats, Todd was the Mid Atlantic representative for the OMC engine company and was responsible for $30 million in annual sales. Todd also spent time as a manager for Boater’s World, a nation-wide marine accessory retailer. Todd has made repeat and referral business his cornerstone by “doing what he says”. His knowledge and experience will benefit the customers at Martini Yacht Sales (Used and Brokerage) and SI Yachts of Maryland (Marquis Yachts). He resides in historic Easton, MD with his wife and twin girls. They love and promote the boating lifestyle; cruising, fishing, and relaxing on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.
Allyson ForkerBorn and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Allyson has two daughters who she raised near the water in Deale. While living there she developed a real passion for all things aquatic. She has become an expert Jet Ski pilot and enjoys boating whenever she gets the time. Allyson entered the work force handling the bookkeeping duties for her family’s service businesses. In 2001, Allyson joined Shady Oaks Yacht Sales on the West River where she assumed the duties of Comptroller and Office Manager. In those capacities, Allyson became familiar with the intricacies of Department of Natural Resources titling work as well as Coast Guard Documentation and Marine Mortgages. With her bubbly personality Allyson also served as Shady Oaks hostess at boat shows and other company functions. The amount of complex paperwork necessary to complete the sale and transfer of a vessel is staggering, and Allyson is one of the very best at getting it done. She did all that while handling all the bookkeeping for the Marina and Sales operations. Allyson is now located at the Bay Bridge Marina where she is ready to assist all of Martini’s customers with anything at all involved with buying a boat. |
